COVID-19 CONTROL GUIDELINES

NOTE: The information contained in this document is subject to change without notice. It will be updated as more information becomes available regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and as guidance and control measures from WorkSafe BC, the BC Centre for Disease Control and the Provincial Health Officer become available.

Please do not visit Shadow Mountain if you are unwell or experiencing any of the following symptoms:

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Difficulty breathing (shortness of breath)
  • Diarrhea
  • Diminished sense of smell and/or taste
  • Nasal congestion and/or runny nose
  • Fatigue, malaise, muscle and/or body aches
  • Sore throatIn addition, you will be prohibited from visiting Shadow Mountain if you have:
  • Travelled outside of Canada within the past 14 days
  • Had contact with a person who has travelled outside of Canada within the past 14 days
  • Had contact with a confirmed or possible case of COVID-19 within the last 14 days
  • Been diagnosed with COVID-19 and have not received an official negative test resultShadow Mountain Protocols to Keep You Safe
  • Staff are trained in our COVID-19 protocols. Please follow their lead.
  • Masks must be worn within the Clubhouse.
  • We have installed hand sanitizing stations throughout the Clubhouse.
  • Physical distancing rules must be followed.
  • We are limiting the number of guests to our facility to align with the provincial guidelines.
  • High touch points will be sanitized throughout the Clubhouse on a regular basis.
  • Washroom facilities will be sanitized regularly.
  • COVID-19 signage protocols will be posted throughout the facility.
  • Guests will be arriving no earlier than 1 hour prior to tee times, unless they are using thedining facilities.
  • Prior to teeing off, there are three separate warm-up areas to maintain physicaldistancing. These areas will be used in the following order:

  1. Putting Green

  2. First Tee Box

  • Tee time intervals will remain at 10 minutes in order to help keep adequate on course spacing between groups to maintain social distancing.
  • Power carts will be cleaned and sanitized after each use and at the end of each day. NOTE: There is a designated power cart return area to ensure they are sanitized before being used.Preventive Measures Guideline

    Measures have been put into place to provide a safe environment for each guest during their visit at Shadow Mountain. These guidelines are also in place to create an atmosphere in which our staff feel safe and can create the experience that all guests expect. Shadow Mountain has outlined details in the following four main sections to create safe and enjoyable experiences for all:

    1. Pre-Game
    2. Day of Play or Arrival
    3. During your Round
    4. Post-Game

    NOTE: The following details can be changed at anytime to align with emerging information and provincial guidance.

    Pre-Game

  • Call Shadow Mountain or check our website to ensure you are aware of the most recent COVID-19 protocols.
  • All golfers must have a tee time booked prior to arrival at Shadow Mountain.
  • Groups of 2 will be booked with other groups of 2 or singles. We will try toaccommodate group’s requests however we must manage the tee sheet accordingly.

    We may not be able to accommodate everyone.

  • Call and confirm your booking and adjust the group size accordingly. Ensure you do nothave any ‘no shows’. Group changes last minute may result in extra charges.
  • Check to ensure all guests have masks to be used for their visit at Shadow Mountain.
  • A single rider fee will now be in effect for golfers who do not wish to be paired up with aplaying partner. Please call the Golf Shop to arrange.

 


Day of Play or Arrival

  • Arrive up to 1 hr before your tee time.
  • Arriving earlier than 1 hr is permitted if you are dining in the restaurant or shopping inthe Golf Shop before your round.
  • Ensure you arrive with adequate time so that you are not rushed.
  • Bag Drop area services will be suspended. Golfers will be greeted by a team memberwho assigns a cart for the day – golfers will self-load.
  • Please proceed to the Clubhouse to check in and pay.
  • Masks must be used while in the Clubhouse.
  • Golf Shop will have a limit of six total customers at one time.
  • Tap for credit or debit cards is the preferred method of method of payment. Cash willbe accepted.
  • Hands must be sanitized upon entering.
  • Physical distancing rules (i.e. stay at least 6 ft apart) must be followed.
  • Prior to teeing off, there are three main areas that are available for use – in the followingorder:

o Range

o Putting Green

o First Tee Box

  • Please limit your time at the driving range.
  • Our Course Ambassadors will provide you with the guidelines and procedures of the dayat the first tee.
  • Please follow the guidelines provided.
  • Please ensure the staff is respected at all times.During Your Round
  • Players are expected to follow all federal, provincial and municipal rules relating to Covid-19.
  • Please respect players that are joined with your group.
  • Physical distancing rules (i.e. stay at least 6 ft apart) must be followed, especially if youare joined with another group.
  • Golfers are reminded to NOT touch the flagstick. Cups have been turned over toeliminate this touch point.
  • Ball washers and bunker rakes have been removed from the golf course.
  • Groups will not be permitted to play through groups ahead of them.
  • All groups must stay intact the entire round. Groups in breach will be asked to leavewithout a refund.
  • In order to ensure the course speed of play is maintained, play ‘Ready Golf’ and keep upwith the group ahead.

Post-Golf

  • Continue to adhere to physical distancing rules.
  • Avoid any traditional thank you and/or good bye salutations that involve direct contact(such as hand shakes, high fives etc.) and use contact-free approaches instead.
  • Please empty all your recycling and garbage into the appropriate receptacles.
  • Return your carts to the Guest Services area for cleaning.
  • Please sanitize your hands after the round and don your mask before entering theClubhouse.
  • Join us for lunch or dinner in the Clubhouse and follow the appropriate and currentCOVID-19 guidance pertaining to dining.
  • Please return to your vehicle as soon as you are done playing and/or eating and do notwait for fellow group members to finish.

    We will review the above protocols and regulations regularly, and if we are moving in the right directions, we will gradually add more services into operation only if they can be managed safely.
