Course Rules

Alcohol

Must be purchased from Shadow Mountain as outside alcohol is not legally permitted.

Cell Phone Use

Shadow Mountain respectfully asks that cell phone use be limited to parking areas only. Emergency on-course usage is permitted.

Conduct

Players are asked to repair ball marks, fill divots with sand, maintain bunkers, and to respect all posted signage.

Dress Code

Traditional golf attire is to be worn on the course.

Environmentally Sensitive Areas

Vulnerable areas of forest, ground cover and naturally occurring dunes that support and protect wildlife in our community will be clearly marked and protected.  Disturbing these areas for any reason is discouraged. (Rule 26 – 1 stroke penalty).

Ground Under Repair

Includes material piled for removal, maintained areas that have been disturbed by wildlife or areas otherwise under the care of course maintenance staff. (Rule 25 – free drop).

Out of Bounds

Defined by white stakes and/or boundary fencing.

Pace of Play

Shadow Mountain encourages all players to be observant of the Etiquette of the game and play without delay – ‘hit when ready.’  A reasonable pace of play is targeted at no more than 4 hours and 30 minutes.

Power Carts

Are permitted on all maintained areas of the golf course except where directed by posted signage or controlled by GPS. Players are respectfully asked to keep carts on paths around all trees and greens and to avoid path edges and forested areas.

Rules of Play

RCGA rules govern play except where modified by local rules.
